Ideas to FEEL GOOD & BOOST YOUR MOOD

Me and My Baby Girl <3

Sometimes we forget the simple pleasures in life that can make us feel good. Taking time for ourselves is so important for our own happiness and our relationships with everyone in our life. If we can't treat ourselves good, who else is going to want to? When we believe that we deserve to be happy, everything else starts to fall into place. Doing things for yourself is not selfish, it's a gift to everyone around you. When we are happy and lower our stress level, we become a better friend, a better mother, a better daughter, a better spouse, a better boss, a better employee... a better person.

Here are some simple ideas that immediately boost my mood and help me to feel relaxed and happy.

1. Take a relaxing bubble bath with essential oils and epsom salt.

2. Light a scented candle. A calming scent can change the way we feel.

 11. Move your body. Go for a walk, go to the gym, take a yoga class, go for a bike ride, do jumping-jacks, sit ups, touch your toes, anything... Just Move!

12. Simplify your Life - Clean out your closet of everything you haven't worn in the past year. Declutter and get rid of anything that you don't really need or want anymore. When you're done organizing you can donate your unused items or give them to someone in need. Doing something nice for someone else without expecting anything in return is a great way to feel good about yourself.

13. Read a book that makes you feel positive. One of my favorite feel-good books is The Mastery of Love.

"Life is nothing but a dream, and if we are artists, then we can create our life with Love, and our dream becomes a masterpiece of art."

14. Make time to enjoy your favorite hobbies OR experiment with new activities. Pull out a pencil and paper and just start sketching. Write a poem, take an art class, make a scrap book, try a simple DIY project. It's easy to lose touch with what makes us happy. Find something that is your own to enjoy without anyone else. Try some fun and simple DIY Refashioning Projects.

15. Soak up the Sun! If it's a nice warm day outside my favorite thing to do is go to the ocean. If it's rainy and cold outside, let as much sunlight in through the windows as possible.

16. Be Kind & Generous and expect nothing in return. Go to the grocery store and smile at every person that walks by you. While you are there, pick up your neighbors favorite candy bar and drop it off to them on your way home. Call someone you love or send a text just saying, "I love you." Mail a card to someone just because they are your friend. Find something nice to say about a stranger, "I love your shoes!" Then smile and know that you just made someone feel good. That feeling will come back to you 100 times stronger!
