My FAVORITE BB Cream! GARNIER Anti-Aging

The benefits of BB Cream VS Foundation is that BB Cream is made with a Sheer Coverage Tint that provides moisture, hydration, soothing, healing & SPF protection. The idea is that it actually provides genuine benefits for the skin - as well as providing enough coverage to be used as either a foundation or a primer, depending upon your preference.

I have been searching for a Super Moisturizing Tinted SPF Cream that would hydrate my dry skin during the winter months. My skin starts to looks dull and dry and loses that fresh, dewy, glow, as the weather starts to get cold. The indoor heat depletes moisture and completely changes the look and feel of my skin compared to summer months.

I did a lot of research on the most popular BB Cream brands for aging skin. I read hundreds of customer reviews from different websites to decide which BB Cream I was going to try. I was confident that Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector Anti-Aging BB Cream - Light/Med was going to work for me. The Garnier Anti-Aging formula only comes in Light/Med OR Med/Deep. I am not overly concerned with an exact color match as long as it is not too dark. Going lighter can usually be corrected with bronzer and blush. You can see in the above photo before I rubbed in the color on my jaw line, it is not an exact match. It did blend perfectly once I rubbed it in.

The Anti-Aging Light/Med was darker than I had expected but it was perfect or my skin tone. Someone a few shades lighter or darker could use this color. I am not sure if it would work for extremely pale, white skin tones. I will probably purchase the Med/Deep for the summer months because my body will be darker from being outside in the sun. You can also mix colors to create the perfect shade for you.

This Anti-Aging BB Cream does everything that I was looking for. It feels light on my skin and it  puts the glow back into my dry skin. I am happy with the coverage, however I am not crazy about the scent. To me, that is irrelevant compared to the benefits. To apply BB Cream you can use your fingers, a sponge, or makeup brush. I prefer using my fingers to blend the cream into my face like moisturizer.

BB Creams are not created to be a full coverage foundation. However, you can easily achieve more coverage by applying layers of BB Cream and dabbing more product onto specific areas. BB Creams are not made to change the color of your skin. The purpose of BB Cream OR Foundation is to even out your skin tone.

Garnier Anti-Aging (Light/Med)

Notice the light reflecting off of my skin. This BB Cream gives your skin a dewy, hydrated glow. I personally love this youthful glowing look. If you prefer a more matte look you can use a pressed powder. My favorite is Revlon ColorStay Pressed Powder (med/deep). I tend to use this more in the summer when my skin is more hydrated, but it works great over this BB Cream.

For additional coverage I use concealer. Just dot a tiny bit on discoloration to even out skin tone after BB Cream is applied. My favorite is Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Concealer - Light. To add color or contouring to your skin you can use a bronzer and/or blush. My favorite bronzer is Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Airbrushing Bronzer SPF 30. I use my own foam sponge. For blush I use Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Airbrushing Blush SPF 30.
