I love this midi skirt, however I never wore it because the bottom was so tight that I couldn't walk in it. I refashioned it so it would be shorter and the waistband would be more comfortable. First I cut off the elastic waistband. I then tried it on inside out, folded down the new waistband, and safety pinned it into place. I cut off the new waistband and angled it by cutting a triangle and sewing it back together. This made the top of the waist smaller and taper out at the hips. I then attached the new waistband with a straight stitch and reinforced it with a zigzag stitch. Ten minutes and done :-)
