I hope that everyone had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!!! We had a family cookout on the lake and it was such a beautiful day. This was the first time that our family all got together since my dad crossed over this past June. We missed him dearly and could feel his love all around us. This photo is for you Daddio! I am so grateful for our amazing family XOXO.

(WHAT I WORE)



I have been getting a lot of comments that my cell phone takes such great photos. Thank you for the compliments, but the secret is simply the great lighting. I use vanity strip lights with daylight bulbs around the mirrors. When I am taking closeup selfies I am looking directly into the same lights. These face shots are 100% non-edited or filtered and the quality is great just from the right lighting. The full-length mirror selfies usually need the brightness adjusted and sometimes the contrast and that's it! I hope that helps you get some great photos :-)

Simple DIY Choker Necklace

I used a piece of faux black leather, cut it to size and tied it in a knot. 
You can also use lace or velvet. Yup that's it :-)
